Lovely view around and a beautiful building on its own. We got coins stamped as a souvenir in a machine next to it - great fun and a small thing to remember!

We walked along the beach and then through the dunes to get to the lighthouse. It is beautifully restored and very safe with solid metal banisters. The view across the island, the airport, the German coastline and the neighboring islands is spectacular.

Riding a bike to the lighthouse is a pleasant way to explore the island. Views in all directions make one appreciate the size and beauty of the island.

The location is nearly in the middle of the Island Norderney, there is a bus station or you go by bike or foot a lovely dune-path. It is open April to October 14-16 h. The fee is 3€ for an adult and 1€ for kids 6-17 yrs.
