The final destination if you take the ferry to the end. Gorgeous reflecting lake will probably give you one of your favorite photos of Bavarian countryside. Allow a full day to take the ferry. You will most likely have to wait over an hour just...More

I wanted to just stay there looking at the beautiful scenery around. The climate was very good during our visit and we enjoyed the outdoor experience of just walking around the lake soaking in the beauty of nature.

My absolute favourite day of my 4 weeks in Europe!! Konigsee was nice, but OH SO CROWDED, I waited an hour and a half to board the boat to cross Konigsee, luckily I had researched Konigsee & Obersee on TA and thanks to some great...More

I recommend not stopping at St Bartolomew but going to Salet. Then walking to the Obersee and all the way to the farm . I suggest to bring a hat, if it is sunny , or a small umbrella ( because fo the sun).

Hiked to the other side of Lake Obersee. Beautiful little place to get beer and good cheeses/snacks on the other side. You lose most of the tourists after the first boathouse at the beginning of the hike (so many people there!) and didn’t see many...More

Really beautiful, peaceful and calming. There will be a short and easy hike from Salet (15 mins)to get to the spot. Just wear comfy shoes. Don’t miss this spot by going on a half day tour from Salzburg that does not include ferry rides on...More
