I'm not sure if Dechenhoehle is quite as pretty as Cox's Cave in Cheddar but it has some of the most impressive stalactites and stalagmites I've ever seen, and during the 45 minute tour you get very close to some of the best specimens the...More

Time pass by so fast here, even though the tour took 45 minutes. PS : Taking photo in cave is not allowed, but in the museum it is okay.

Magical experience. 6 different musical experiences as one traverses the grotto. The experience at Christmas time is truly magical.

A wonderful find. If you're staying anywhere near Iserlohn, find the time to visit the Dechenhohle. At six euros it's a bargain. Although the tours are in German, there is an English language handout which explains the main points. A great adventure

Interesting cave series in an interesting geolgical area. Dechenhohle caves are not as spectacular as some, e.g., formations are rather grey and dull.
