Stopped to admire this fountain with my wife and children during a day trip to Kleve and ended up having lunch outside in the square, it was a lovely way to spend an hour admiring the statue, the company, the food and also people watching.

We were visiting germany so our indonesian relatives could try some famous german curry wurst and bratwurst for lunch and ended up shopping and visiting this street and fountain.

After shopping this is in summer a nice place to sit on the terrace of the near by restaurant. We enjoyed a fresh salad and a cold beer. Just enjoyable but nothing special.

This listing is not located in in Kleve (Schleswig-Holstein) but in Kleve (North Rhine-Westphalia). Beautifull fountain telling a heartbreaking storey of the Swan knight and his Beatrix. Located in the Pedestrian zone in the city centre.

Helas, in winterseason the fountains are shut down, never the less still beautifull. This Fountain (made by K. H. Seemann) is intertwined with the magical Lohengrin sage, which is about the first Klever whose origin dates back to the time of a Princess named Beatrix...More
