Must visit the SwonCastle if you are in the Neighborhood. Entry ticket is only 3 eur and you are offered to see plenty of beautiful staff there. Ana from Kleve was the 4th wife of Famous King Henry VIII and she is the only one...More

If you like circular staircases, this tower has 182 of them. Then there are 3 more floors with regular stairways. The displays on each floor of the top of the tower are interesting (mostly geology from a large area around Kleve), but totally not related...More

From a distance this castle is quite impressive and it is overlooking the city of Kleve. We only decided to have a wander around it and in the little courtyard, which was enjoyable. The city centre with all the shops and restaurants is close by.

From the outside it looks as if there is more to it, but it was only a very limited part of the castle that was part of the tour. The rest is used on a daily basis by regional officials. Nice view at the top,...More

Staying in Holland we made the effort to visit Germany and Kleve is the nearest town. The Schwanenburg castle is very impressive and imposing over the town. We went inside and climbed the tower. At only €6 for the family it is very reasonable. There...More
