diese katholische Kirche gehört heute zur Pfarreien-Gemeinschaft Oberstdorf. Sie brannte wie vieles hier im 19. Jh. ab und wurde Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts in neugotischem Stil wieder aufgebaut. Inzwischen wird sie renoviert. Meine Skizze zeigt sie vom Park aus.

Sollte man wegen der Kirche in Oberstorf sein, wird man heuer ziemlich enttäuscht. Die Kirche untzerzieht sich einer totalen Renovierung und es ist schon erstaunlich, dass man trotzdem hinein kann.
Wir machen unseren Rundgang - wie jedesmal, wenn wir im Ort sind - und entdecken die entkernte Struktur der Kirche neu.
Hinauf auf die Empore sollte man gehen, der Überblick ist es wert.

Die Katholische Pfarrkirche ist der Mittelpunkt Oberstdorfs. Nachdem die Saalkirche 1865 durch einen Brand zerstört wurde, wurde sie 1872 im neugitischen Stil wieder aufgebaut. Messen finden regelmäßig statt.

Wir waren um 17 Uhr zur Christmette dort. Und sind der Empfehlung unseres Vermieters gefolgt und waren rechtzeitig dort. Ab 16.15 Uhr gab es keine Sitzplätze mehr... Der Pfarrer hat einen sehr schönen Gottesdienst abgehalten und aufgrund moderner Technik war er auch sehr gut zu verstehen. Und wie man erwarten kann, ist die Kirche auch so sehr schön anzusehen.

Die Sankt Johann Baptist Kirche in der Oststraße in Obrstdorf wurde 1865 größtenteils durch Brand zerstört. 1872 wurde sie im neugotischen Stil wieder errichtet. Es ist eine kleine, feine Kirche die schön gestaltet ist und in der man auch bei großem Gästeandrang eine Zeit der Ruhe findet.
