You can feel the history of Quedlinburg as you walk around. The Schloss and the Rathaus are well worth the visit, but really just walking the streets and finding exquisite building after building.

I love Quedlinburg. The intact half-timbered buildings are incredible. It's a quaint and cozy town, full of American ex-pats. (I plan to join them in a few years!) The medieval castle is one of my all-time favorites as well. It is huge, and so well-preserved....More

Much of the Quedlinburg Schloss was under renovation when i visited, so I found it underwhelming, and not worth the entry price. The famous 'blue' room and the throne room were obscured, with inadequate photographs to show what one is missing. The remaining reconstructed rooms...More

It’s like time passed it by. Very quaint and clearly less developed and visited than most Western European places. Seems like 15-20 years behind similar places in Bavaria. Worth a look.

The castle is located at an elevated point. A small but bewautiful garden as well as a nice museum add value to this little hike. The view from there is outstanding.

We bought the combi ticket to see the Schloss and the Cathedral. Both very drab and dull. The views and the gardens were the best part and they were free.

We only had an hour here, as we had to meet up with other family members for a city tour, but this place was really neat. Great city views, interesting walls and buildings, so much to see, so go for longer than an hour.
