Due to time constraints, I wasn't able to visit the interior of this beautiful building. I contented myself by having a photo session and have included a photo taken on Market Day. The pink color of the sandstone used in construction is unique.

On the Main Street near the new Town Hall this place is really worth a (free) visit. We were walking back to catch a train but spent a little while in the peaceful surroundings of this Church. Lots of pink marble will be my lasting...More

I personally liked this church more than cathedral. I appreciated that its interior is light and really enjoyed the way it is decorated. Also the fact that it is located at the square with plenty stores and the market attended by many people makes this...More

Bring your camera and good shoes for walking. This church is in the heart of downtown Bamberg. Lots of cobblestones to get there but so worth it! The church had a major renovation that last few years and is now open to the public again....More

Beautiful church. We enjoyed a mass with incredible music due to the natural acoustics. One can walk out of mass onto Gruners Square and enjoy the food market.

Right in the middle of the main tourist market street, it's a cool quiet place to sit, contemplate and pray.

Wherever you travel, it's so often worth just popping your head into a church building. Some of our greatest architectural efforts have been made in religious buildings and even unassuming ones may take you by surprise. This is one such, you're walking through the market...More

Just off Marketplatz the university church seems both active and ornate. It was impressive with the sun filling the structure. Definitely worth a stop while passing by.

I don't think so, as my tour was in German by the priest who runs the church, but if you come here, they may have something for those who don't understand German.
