>> with snowfall in uttarakhand, kotdwara can be made a base for going to easily accessible places for a great view of Himalyas and some other places like :-

- Sidhbali Temple
- Durga devi
- Lansdowne
- Kanva Ashram ( where Bharat was born)
- Tarkeshwar
- Corbett

>> Drive down from delhi to kotdwara... from kotdwara, lansdowne is just about an hour or so... and the drive is beautiful.... U can goto lansdowne or jai hari khal or gumkhal to have a fabulous view of the snow clad himalyas. Sidhbali temple & Durga devi are enroute. For Kanva Ashram one has to go around 14 kms from Kotdwara. For corbett one can reach its western gate from here in 20-30 mins or take another road through hills and reach there.

>> I am uploading photos of "Snow Cliff" hotel near Lansdowne.... It is a small hotel which is on a ridge.... which sets the stage for amazing views of the great himalyas to the north and the valleys to the south... the food is amazing... there are a few rooms, which are comfortable, well furnished and bathrooms with hot water... you can do a short hike to Lansdowne from here or to Bhairon Gadhi ( a very serene place...with a temple)

>> there are other hotels also in the area.. and I have not visited them.. Since we were on a day trip we went to SNOW CLIFF, as it was a new place...

While on return from Lansdowne, one can also visit a very well known Lord Hanuman’s temple, famously known as Shri Sidhbali Dham at Kotdwar.

We also decided to do the same and halted for an hour at Kotdwar. We offered our heartfelt prayers and prasad of Bheli (Jaggery & Coconut) to the almighty and sought blessings. Religious fervor was at its peak inside the temple with devotees queued up for a sight of the deity and performing the rituals.

Inside, stands a life size statue of Lord Hanuman well decorated and in traditional red and saffron clothes. In India, these colors are synonymous with the almighty. The side walls of the temple are fixed with godly tiles, made of silver, depicting pictures of Lord Rama, Hanuman, Krishna, Kaali and other deities. The ceiling is also decorated with colorful checkered, rhombus, square and round shaped reflective mirror work.

Sitting in the shaded courtyard and chanting of mantras is immensely soulful. Peace of mind and soul in true sense. It feels heavenly, light, easy and calm, spiritual indeed.

Temple is situated on the banks of a down streams descending through the mountains. Multiple stairs leads up to the temple complex. A huge bell hanging on the gateway welcomes you to the temple. The complex is very well maintained and kept neat and clean. Standing on top, surroundings of the temple are green, offering a grand view of the flowing stream and nearby structures.

The temple has a lotus pond too with many blooming lotus on display. Outside the complex, there is small market well stocked with deity offerings like jaggery cubes, coconuts & red bandanas, artifacts, knick knacks, other variety of items and eateries. Parking lot, with uneven surface, is also next to the temple complex.

A must visit for everyone. Jai Bajrang Bali!

My relative had been to the Shri Sidhbali Dham in Kotdwar and highly recommended a visit.

So we went along with our relative.

Near to Kotdwar we passed through a natural jungle.

After going through Kotdwar town we could see the hlls and forests and soon we had a glimpse of the Sidhbali temple atop a hillock on the right along a river.

The temple visit was satisfying.

I liked the atmosphere.

I also liked the natural surroundings at the foothills of the mountains.

We returned with the hope that Sidhbali Hanuman Ji would help remove our problems.

As there are other reviews I would add photos.

A visit is recommended for a religious as well as tourist purpose. The views from the temple top are beautiful and the environment is peaceful. Need to climb some stairs but not very much.

I have been going to Sidhbali since childhood. It used to be a small shrine which has gained quite a bit of popularity in recent times. Sidhbali is near Kotdwara, a small town in Garhwal region. Kotdwara/Sidhbali is nearly 175 Kms from Delhi. Temple is located on a hilltop. You will find an inherent peace & serenity in Sidhbali Temple. Sitting there for 10 mins in front of Lord Hanuman is spiritual and uplifting experience.

Sidhbali is not as crowded as other popular shrines of India, hence you can get darshan peacefully. Views from hilltop are beautiful. One can always spare 1-2 Hours for Sidhbali when visiting Lancedown, Kotdwara or Pauri. It's only 100 Kms detour from Haridwar (with amazing roads & connectivity).

Sidhbali also has tradition for 'Bhandara' where people provide food for poor (for all in fact) once their wish gets fulfilled. There is a queue for 8 years to conduct a Bhandara which tells a lot about belief people have in Sidhbali Dham. Please do eat Bhandara food as its very tasty.

This is a very ancient temple of Lord Hanuman, its located on a small Hill in Kotdwar. Surroundings are peaceful and green. River goes from below of the Temple. This is the only place to visit in Kotdwar. You can sit in temple and read Hanuman chalisa and feel the calmness reaching to your mind. Location is the best about this Temple.....

Had Darshan on 28th Jan 2018

This Shrine is in Kotdwar on way to Lansdowne and is easily approachable by road. there are free e-rickshaw rides from the bus stand for t eh pilgrims.

The place is fairly clean and has momentos, offerings, flower and sweet shops leading to the main gate of the temple.

Shoe deposit counter available right a the entrance is 'free of charge'.

about 150 steps leads to the main temple and divine darshan of Lord Sidhbali Hanumanji.

Priests attend to the devotees and offer puja and give back prasad and blessings.

Sweets, Gur n batashas, marigold flowers and chadar are main offering to God.

The temple complex is huge with proper sitting arrangements, bhandara and free medical clinic facilities.

View from Mandir is awesome.

there is construction for a dharmshala which is in progress.

The feeling is peace and relaxing.

Must visit if in Kotdwar or on way to Lansdowne or Charekh.
