Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

28 km round trip in the middle of the wild nature and along the sea. You can hire bikes in Les Saintes Maries de la Mer. 2 renting shops . A bicycle ride easy as always flat.

We were staying in Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer at the campsite.
We had our bikes and dog with us so we decided to go for a ride along the coast trail to the lighthouse.
It was a sunny but windy day in late December.
The trail is very exposed along the route.
In extreme rain or sun it would be hard.
The trail was a good surface for my bike and dog trailer.
Lots of bird life along the way. Flamingos never seem to get boring.
Its a fair ride to the lighthouse but on arrival there were plenty of sheltered picnic tables for lunch, a toilet and bird watching hide.
We had a great day and would recommend it for a day out.
The small sandy sections were a little tricky but fun.
Hope you have a good time too. 😁

Fairly flat but little shade. 26km round trip from Saintes-Maries de la Mer. Great sampling of the Carmargue but take plenty of water and be careful on hot sunny days. We walked but there were plenty of bicycles enjoying the day.

From Saintes Marie de la Mere you can have a great bike tour here.
It is about 10 km and you'll be astonished by the view on the seaside on the sea and on the flamingos.
We did not visit the phare.

There is only so much to do at the lighthouse, and it isn't much. It was October, cold, raw, windy and essentially empty. I parked at the small lot by the weir then spent a few minutes searching for flamingos who can move in and out of the shallows rather quickly. Stay vigilant, it can pay off. The lighthouse is pretty much a resting point on the walk / bike ride along the shore. You simply can not help but stop there. There is a 'keeper' and binocular scope to scan the water and wetland plus a few slapped together exhibits - you are pretty much on your own.

The Digue de la Mer is really a great bicycle ride to go to the Lighthouse. It is about 13km from the town Saintes-Maries de la Mer. The view is super nice and you can see some pink flamingos along the way...
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED thing to do! Especially with a bicycle :-)
