Calais Beach France is a lovely beach to visit with miles of sand dunes and shoreline, we however came to visit for its historic significance. We visited on a wind swept day breezy but sunny and could only imagine what it must have been like...More

It is still a work in progress but a huge renovation program has hugely improved this area. Now a nice place to visit while waiting for the ferry/tunnel.

This long beach has clean golden sands. The sand shelves slowly, making it safe for children. This is the Channel, so water is never going to be particularly warm. There are lots of beach huts but they seem to be privately owned.
