I never knew that Calais had such a fantastic beach.
When we visited there were little cabin / market stall and eateries along the promenade.
Plenty of showers / taps for washing off sand etc. Clean wc facilities.
Beach has life guard patrols.

This long beach has clean golden sands. The sand shelves slowly, making it safe for children. This is the Channel, so water is never going to be particularly warm. There are lots of beach huts but they seem to be privately owned.
