By all means, walk along the island fortification where you will avoid the crowds below and be treated to numerous towers such as tower Basse. Each provides stunning vistas across the bay.

This tower is a bit smaller & squat but still offers a vantage point for nice vistas of the bay & mainland. Has room to take in a very nice panorama of the viewable area. Best when the tide comes in....
