When visiting Lille, please try and see this lovely museum located in Roubaix which is about 30 minute journey on the Metro (Red Line) to Roubaix-Grand Place. It is well worth the visit. I was completely staggered by the beauty of the pool and its...More

The Museum is housed largely in an Art Deco swimming pool and features beautifully arranged and displays sculpture and other artwork. The astonishing thing about the place is clearly the swimming pool used as an exhibition space which is sympathetic to its original design and...More

This is a must visit museum if you are staying in Lille or the surroundings. It is only a 20 minute ride on the metro or bus and well worth the effort. The Art Deco swimming pool has been restored sympathetically and when the light...More

We felt so lucky to be able to see the museum with its recent renovations. The art is by less known artists (at least less known to these Americans) but was beautiful and interesting. The second floor had a wonderful selection of textiles to view....More

This once a public pool from the Early 30’s turned into a museum is so beautiful architecturally and so eclectic with its artworks. From sculptures, textile, to paintings, it offers varied artistic work for everyone to enjoy.

The museum was generally constructed in an old abandomed public pool giving it an unconventional feel but the displays and exhibits will surprise you with their recent collection of Picasso’s works.

We went here on the metro but only to find that it has been closed for renovation since April and reopens on 20th October 2018. The restaurant/cafe was open but you could not see a lot.

You all must go to this museum, it is amazing. The architecture and statues are beautiful, however there is no censoring names which could be offensive, however this adds to the statues.
