The arrival is good - lovely courtyard high up in Boulogne with some good views from outside the courtyard. The museum itself has many interesting rooms - a few too many pots for my liking but lots to see and learn from. Nixely set out...More

We visited the "Americans in Boulogne" exhibition and the museum but ran out of time for the vaults. Well laid out and thoughtfully planned. Educational and enlightening. Well worth a visit

This is an amazing looking château inside the fortified walls of the old town of Boulogne sur mer that has a large courtyard. You can't really visit the château as it is a museum of art and artifacts not relating to the history of the...More

In the main museum there are sections for beaux-arts and for local history, which are nice but pretty standard. There are also Egyptian items and ancient Greek vases. To me the most interesting part was where they showed cultural items from Alaska. This part of...More

Top of the hill, castle with nice fortification (bridge, rampart). Lovely courtyard in the center. Worth the climb up the hill.

We entered expecting to see items from the Chateaus history, not spaced out Greek pots, Egyptian artifacts, paintings and items from Alaskan history. Killed around 40 minutes as not really much else to do in the area.

I was heading to visit the 13th Century Chateau Musee. From the outside it is quite impressive! The fortified walls look quite sturdy! However, it has no keep. Once inside though, we noticed there was nothing to visit, except a museum about local, Italian and...More
