It was amazing to find such an important collection in a small rural centre. Many of the paintings were very well known and they told the story of Napoleon’s life and career. It showed Napoleon to be very aware of the importance of self- promotion....More

Small, but has some impressive works of art. A little out of the way, and also located in a former monastery. Worth a visit.

The exposition "Fields of Battle through Canadian Eyes" is on loan from the Canadian War Museum until 11 June 2017. The exhibition shows photography, paintings and drawing made by Canadian soldiers during WWI. This was why we visited this museum. I doubt we would have...More

There is an entrance fee (€7/€4), although the museum is free on the first Sunday of each month. Access to the ground floor is okay but I'm not sure about the upper floor.
