Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We went there on our bikes in search of flamingoes.

First we had a quick, and it took all of about 3 minutes, look around the visitor centre before heading off. We followed sandy tracks on our bikes, which was very hard. Finally we saw the flamingoes, loads of them.

I wouldn't recommend people visit for the fishing village museum only but I would suggest visiting for a pleasant walk or bike through the grasses.

Ok. It was out of season, and we did walk here in a gale force 10 wind, and it just a few huts in a field. Perhaps something happens here in season

Maybe interesting for ornithologists but definitely nothing for somebody else, especially for families with kids. I can‘t understand all the positive ratings here.

Yes, there are some huts made from wood and straw. But all of ‚em are closed, some sport a bit of rubbish in their yards and the one being open has a handful of plates giving some detail in French.

They don‘t even sell souvenirs, which could be a good thing. But in this case its just a sign that there really is nothing they could sell.

2 stars anyway because it made us having a nice 5 k walk from our appartment along the beach outside of the city boundaries.

It would not count this village as a sightseeing spot at all.

These replica fishing huts can be seen from the main road. There is not a great deal to see as they are often closed, but they do give a glimpse of the barren life of the old time fishermen.

This reconstruction of an old fishing village is well worth a visit. The Visitor Centre is only open certain days but as the car-park is free and the site itself is open even when the Centre is closed. When we were there we mainly enjoyed walking around the site reading the information about the plants that had been used, historically, by the folk who, at one time, must have lived there.

This old "fishing village" is in a fantastic setting between the beach and a large lake with mountains in the distance, Very pleasant. Best to go early in the morning or later in the day when it's not too busy. It's an interesting and pleasant walk around for half an hour either before you go on the beach or after. If your prone to mosquito bites then cover up!
