We wanted to see the interior, but found the cathedral firmly locked. Apparently it is to be restored. From the outside, it looks pretty tatty, uncared for, apart from by the pigeons.

Erected in 12th century this half fortress - half cathedral is worth a visit. it offers a very interesting experience: very dark, humid and cold inside, only its beautiful stained glass windows offers some warmth.

This is a large cathedral which has a disappointing interior. The sanctuary is in the transept, and I suspect that a beautiful high altar and reredos were destroyed in the process of "modernizing". The only thing that is worthwhile seeing is the altar with the...More

Lovely building with various styles of architecture. The cathedral is close to the old town which has some interesting architecture and is quite charming.
