Guided Snorkel Experience, Beginners
This fun snorkeling tour at Goat Island, north of Auckland, is especially designed for first-time snorkelers or those less confident in the water. Your dive-master guide will keep you safe in the sea, so you can explore the colorful underwater world off the coast of Goat Island. Although close to Auckland city, you'll feel very far away in this beautiful marine reserve.

Join us in Goat Island's spectacular underwater world. The Goat Island Marine Reserve is a great example of a healthy New Zealand marine environment; it is beautiful, full of life, and you get to explore with some incredibly friendly fish!
The reserve is home to huge snappers, red moki, goat-fish and triple fins, as well as schools of parore, kahawai, sweep, silver drummers, trevally and both sting and eagle rays. And that's not all!
Dive instructor/Divemaster as a guide. All our guides are certified professional divers, with unique knowledge of the marine reserve and its residents. They will teach you about the reserve, the fish species you will encounter and make sure you are comfortable and safe for your dive.
1 Long dive. Since this is a shallow reserve we can stay underwater for longer. Its time to break you longest dive record! Dependent on individuals' air consumption! You will get to explore further out into the bay and see the true beauty this magical place has to offer.

It was an awesome experience. I had 3 kids with me(only 1 was water confident. Younger kids were reluctant to go into the water with all the gears, however Mia and her colleague has done amazing job in handling little kids. They ensured that even younger kids enjoy their experience. Staff was amazing and I would love to visit again. We had a blast with Miah. Her passion for marine lives really made the experience both educational and adventurous. My husband is not a confident swimmer but even he did a duck dive. Miah caters for any swimming ability and made sure all young kids in our group were well looked after. We would not have ventured out that far or saw as many fish had we tried to do it on our own. Highly recommend to anyone who hasn’t had much snorkelling experience. It’s definitely worthwhile to do it with a professional guide. …
