Fabulous morning exploring Lake Awoonga in a very comfortable and well maintained 4.2m 15hp boat. Saw loads of wildlife. Do yourselves a favour and support a local small business- you won’t be disappointed! Thanks Nudge 👍

A pity the water board has done such a good job with the recreation facilities here, but has neglected the great business opportunity to open the cafe that is sitting idle. The visitor information centre is also not being utilised. People would flock to a...More

We stopped off here to try our luck at catching a Barra. The fish had all been released here as fingerlings and how they have grown we caught and released several around the 75cm. Good spot to stay if you get the chance.

A lovely spot to visit for a picnic or BBQ. Take a walk or soak up the views. There is a climbing structure for the kids and apparently you can swim and fish all year round.

This is a large reservoir that is known for good fishing and has a camping area plus a boat rental concession. Swimming is allowed but a bit weedy near shore.

We travelled to Awoonga Dam with our family to enjoy a cool dip. It is a nice relaxing area that has toilet facilities and playground for the children. There are also various sporting equipment such as jet-skis for hire should you be more daring.

Australia trip 2005, Was a day visit, worth the stop on a road trip views and scenery are just outstanding here. They have a really nice campsite here as well, and you can rent boats etc to go out, hiking and biking trials.

lake Awoonga is absolutely majestic with mountainous terrain and extensive lakes. You must travel on a boat and boat around the lake and see the sights. Wonderful place to visit with entire family and relax!
