The ceiling is painted wood which generally isn't the best medium. It is cool that they have some old columns still used in the cathedral and then bases when they built it. Not the most awesome inspiring cathedral on the exterior or interior, nevertheless interesting.

With its entrance half way up a steep flight of steps, this simple but beautiful Cathedral is one of the most ancient in Puglia is lovingly cared for with a magnificent ceiling. We were lucky to hear the organ playing before we left.
