About
The gate linked the town with the outside world. It was largely rebuilt in the mid-19th century to a design by Luigi Antonio Baruffaldi. Above the gate rises the belfry of the nearby parish church (Santa Maria).

There is a local market outside the gates during the morning. Here you can get fresh berries and fruits or eggs and veggies straight from the farmers.

This is a lovely old structure which gives access to the Piazza Cavour. It is a busy part of Riva especially in an evening and the whole area is a nice "walk about" to see the town
