It was rumored that Odysseus sought the Sybil's advice on one occasion. Just think... walking down the same corridor where Odysseus once walked. No telling who else went down that passage. I got to sit in the very spot she sat...

I love the history surrounding the cave and found it fun to walk down the long passage to the cave. There are openings all the way which let the light through making for very nice pictures. After a hot walk outside it was nice to...More

The very early history of what became Italy is found here. You will get to explore on your own without the crowds you find in more visited parts of Italy.

I found it interesting but felt no presence of the God as one does at Delphi. However my wife disagreed and distinctly felt there was some power there. It does, however, provide a nice rest, being level, between the climb back from the tunnel and...More

Access is restricted and probably rightly so. We were able to get some partial pictures with the help of our guide Vicenzo. It was a fundamental moment knowing that I was standing in Homer's shoes. The Prophecies of the Sybil may have been myth, but...More

really gives you a sense of history. Incredibly well preserved and you can just walk in the cool air, imagining what it was like 2000 years ago. Well Worth it
