Our guide took us on the higher route from Bomerano, he pointed out the lower one is narrower with steeper drops. This is not an easy walk so be prepared, wear sensible footwear, bring plenty of water - it gets hot up there! It really...More
I've been to Italy many times and am tired of seeing museums and walking around the cities. So this time decided to focus on going on nature hikes and enjoying the outdoor country life instead. I did the Walk of the Gods on a very...More
My wife and I are middle distance runners and gym junkies and enjoyed the challenge of doing the path of the gods. We started from our hotel in Positano and picked up the stairs to take us to the trail head. I counted 2,070 stairs...More
Do this walk from Bomerano to Positano to avoid a killer uphill. The track is mostly down hill but be prepared for an incline at some points. It can get pretty hot but there is plenty of shady spots to stop. Give yourself time to...More
Although overcast we had a wonderful tour thanks to a delightful guide, through this spectacular country side. Irina, our guide was knowledgeable & caring and gently helped us over sometimes quite difficult terrain. Viator is lucky to have a guide of her caliber.
We started from Priano and walked back to Positano.
An amazing experience! At the Monastery a guy sells drinks and gave us figs to eat. We did not see any other water available. So bring plenty.

The views you can experience on the walk are just fabulous. Wear strong sandals or trainers but don't fear the walk. Take breaks, take water, take pictures. It's something you definately shouldn't miss of your holiday 'go do' list. The busses to get to the...More
We are a family of 4 (16 and 17 year old boys) all athletic. We clearly did not do this hike correctly. We started in Nocela and walk (or climbed, I should say) to the Convent that led down to a town (name escapes me...More
I was dubious about trying this trail becasue of reading others' reviews- we thought we might not make it off the path alive! We completed an hour out and then turned back to and from Bomerano. We parked on street beside the Prince Resort (free...More
We started by getting a bus from Amalfi to Bomerano. Once in Bomerano we followed the signs to a well made path downhill from the main square. When we reached the bottom there were no signs to tell us where to continue! We followed some...More

Fiordo di Furore is apparently closed due to rocks falling, but if you’re starting from there you have to take the little stairs going all the way up until you reach Bomerano. The stairs are not cleared and you’ll get full of mosquito bites. Our hotel was located half way between the Fiordo and Bomerano and it take 30 mins going up or down the stairs both ways. Therefore, if you don’t want to hike for an hour before starting the actual hike of the Path of the Gods, you’re better off taking the SITA bus. Check the schedule as it changes every now and then. The bus is normally 1.30€ each way.
