Pistoia has a classic Tuscan town square. The Medicis conquered the town, and the architecture shows the influence. This piazza is large and impressive -- not Florence but impressive nonetheless.

This place is good to walk around... The que for the Dumo was very long of your concidering going Inside... Resturants can vary in price around there... Some are expensive taking advantage of tourist and some are prices great....

The piazza is not too interesting, but is a focal point of the city. I recommend visiting the Duomo, the Baptistery and the Campanile.

Was here for the Giostra Del Orso, which is well worth coming to if you’re here on 25 July. It’s a fantastic and engaging event. Even without the jousting, the piazza is a pleasant place to spend some time.

It was lovely way to people watch. Find a restaurant in the central and enjoy the view and people watching. It was lovely way to people watch. Find a restaurant in the central and enjoy the view and people watching.

We took a train to Pistoia and spent a pleasant few hours exploring the town. the heart of the town is the Piazza, the Cathedral and Duomo and the Baptistry. A very ancient town with it's own charm but without the hordes of tourists.

The piazza with Duomo, Baptistery and Palazzo Communale is stunning but unlike Florence and Pisa was almost empty of tourists. You can park around the Piazza Garibaldi and then have a 5-10 minute walk through the delights of the back street. This is definitely not...More
