13. 9. 2018 Great experience. An extraordinary monument. I recommend to all. Onsuitable for young children. Doporučuji návštěvu města Orvieta a všech památek tam, obecně. More youtube travel (itinerary) video PSISvisit. Iva + Petr (CZ)

The more you go down under the more you feel the mystic atmosphere of this place. It's just amazing waling down the stairs and think about the time this well was built. Unique.

St Patrick's well is rated one of Orvieto's must do's and it is an interesting attraction. The design of the well is intricate and an engineering feat. The descent to the foot of the well involves climbing down 200 plus steps so be aware of...More

Although the name doesn't sound exciting, and there are a truly terrible number of steps involved in this, it was actually one of the coolest things on our trip. The well shaft is massive, and looking down from the first window (or looking up from...More

It was a good workout going up and down the well. If you live in a country where wells are easy to find, I won’t call this place extraordinary but it was nevertheless a good experience on my Orvieto trip

I often went on a morning run here when studying in Orvieto. It was a beautiful place to see the sunrise and sunset!

This was well worth the visit!! We loved walking to the bottom of the well and seeing both from the bottom and top!

Quite a walk down the well and somewhat scary looking down into the well but very interesting. Amazing that the well is this deep. The walk back up was quite challenging but worth the experience.

There is not too much to see. The design from the 16th century is somehow fascinating. There are two opposing spiral staircases. One to go down, the other to go up. I had the impression that children had fun there, too. entry fee 5Euros

Don’t be put off by having to walk down the 248 steps and then back up. This is not claustrophobic. Really cool engineering with center shaft and windows cut into the stairs to provide light.
