Visited Ortona during a cruise around Italy and made a special trip to the Canadian War Cemetery just outside of town. It was a very moving experience; the rows on rows of well maintained white headstones listing the young men from all across Canada who...More

The impact visiting this site is mind blowing. The sacrifice that was made in this battle needs to be remembered. We walked the battle route and then physically understood what these soldiers must have experienced.

Very well-kept with lovely flowers. Important place to remember huge Canadian losses in 1943-1944. Well worth the visit.

If you visit the Museo Battaglia de Ortona honoring Canadian soldiers participating and/or killed in this battle, you should follow it up with a visit to this cemetery. As with all military cemeteries around the world, this final resting place is well kept and inviting....More

Well kept by an Italian gent, who takes great pride in his work. If he is there when you visit, he will open up the church for you which was rebuilt by the Canadians after they flattened it.

We visited this cemetery with the Grande Prairie Army Cadets tour of Italy with EF Tours. Beautiful place to visit and pay respects to the fallen.

This is a beautifully kept cemetery. Every grave stone was in perfect alignment, every blade of grass the perfect height. We met the caretaker, Francesco, and he was very nice to us. He took great pride in his work. It was so calm and peaceful...More
