Every town has it's church but Ortona has this beautiful Basilica. It's face is simple but the inside is marvelous. When visiting out of season you can take your time visiting Abruzzos beautiful locations in almost solitude embracing and absorbing its magnificence.

Ortona is a quaint little town with lots of history. We enjoyed the Basilica and the war museum. There is free parking in town and several wonderful restaurants.
