We took the train into Florence for the day. So easy to use with lots of times to meet your schedule. Only warning is, be ready to get off right away or you miss it!

They only man the ticket window until 1:00 in the afternoon in the winter. I was able to buy a round trip group ticket of 16 for Florence for only 10 euro each.

Best way to travel from the city. Fast ride to Pisa, Florience and the surrounding areas. Older station, but worth a look.

Lucca - 20 minutes; Florence - 50 minutes. Both are worth a day trip, and the cost is about 10 euro round trip

Easy access from here on the quick, efficient, inexpensive train to Florence, Pisa, etc. Just a walk of several blocks to the center of Montecatini Terme. There are two stations for this town, but this is the one for the center of town.

The Centro station is not more than a 1/4 mile or so from Terme. Why there are two stations so close to each other is a mystery to me. In any case, the terminals are easy to get to and buying a ticket is fairly...More
