Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

By Venetian standards San Giuliano park is huge. Its circumference is some 4 km and it is made very suitable for running and cycling, as there are asphalted lanes (separate lanes for both) criss crossing the whole area. While appreciating the progress made in converting what was once basically a garbage dump during the last century, I found the 'remake' of the natural environment a bit lacking.
The park, open since 2004, offers a lot of open grassy space with trees planted in lines. The original marshes have hardly returned and wildlife has barely any place to shelter or hide. The lagoon area between San Giuliano and the Bazzera fort near the airport is probably a better place to enjoy the primary lagoon environment.
Still, a park worth visiting. During my stay in Mestre I went there almost every day for sports and to enjoy peace and quietness after a busy day in the city.

This is an amazing park, very large with many walking and riding trails. It is also a great place to sit and view Venice from across the river. There is plenty of parking, in several different locations, depending on where in the park you would like to go and even a few places to eat. I recommend bringing water, as you do not realize how very large it is until you begin walking. Once you being, if you have time, you will want to enjoy the atmosphere and the views. There are even benches near the water where you can just sit and enjoy. A nice break from the crowds.

Well worth staying in Mestre as buses so frequent into Venice itself. Once there you can catch the water buses that will take you anywhere you want to be in Venice.

This beautiful, massive park is great for running or walking, with a great view of Venice on the far side.

Great place for a walk for both couples and families, nice to chill out in and for activities. It was very warm and sunny on the day we visited, we walked right don to the lagoon and was able to see our first sight of Venice.

It was a sunny warm Sunday on which we walked around Parco San Guiliano. We noted that there were bikes to hire (similar to Boris bikes in London) but couldn't work out how to hire a bike as a tourist. Instructions were in Italian and it was a cashless/card electronic release system.
The park is large and we didn't make it all around it.
There were many families on foot - walking or jogging, bicycles, skateboards, skates enjoying the sunshine. There was a section of the park which looked like it was an education area to teach children how to ride on the roads and learn road markings and signs. There were plenty of seats dotted around, and trees for shade.
There is a small cafe / restaurant, with outdoor seating, where we bought an ice cream; other customers bought food and drinks.
We walked along the nature trail alongside the canal and saw a kingfisher! Highlight of the holiday. 😊

My fiancée and I visited the Parco San Giuliano which is very near to the Hilton Garden Inn hotel which we were staying in. This very clean park is ideal for a run (or a walk).

Lovely park with play area for the kids and an adjacent bar area for the adults. Great long walks or bike rides ( hire available on site) around the park on good tarmac paths all the way down to the lagoon overlooking Venice
