Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

No Signage. We were tourists in Venice and had to get the train back to Mestre on 18 July as there were signs all over the transportation in Venice that there was going to be a strike between 1930 and 2330.
We decided to take the train. At the main Venice station it was so confusing. Plenty of signs telling you were the trains we going, but no information as where they stop along the way! We eventually found someone to ask and got on the right train.
At Venice Mestre Station, there are no signs on the platform to tell you where you are, so you just hope you are getting off at the right station.

Trains are always clean and on time.
Measurements are in place for Covid-19 and if taken the TrenItalia you get given a goodie bag with a snack, water, mask and hand sanitiser.
The trainstation in Mestre was clean.
Only problem we experienced was with purchasing tickets as the system kept jamming.

Trains into Venice every few minutes. Single ticket €1.40
Plenty of platforms. Very helpful staff in the ticker office.
Simple to use for passengers. Wear your facemask. The railway station in Venice is right in the heart of the City.

Easy first stop after the Venice Airport to launch to the rest of your Italian journey. Station is Smaller than San Lucia and less crowded. Staff also seem more helpful. A number of small shops and a snackbar to fuel you as you go. Many automated ticket machines and a well staffed ticket booth during the day of your needs are more complex.

Convenient and easy to use trains and station. I don't know about an electric wheelchair, but my manual, light ride, did fine. The most difficult thing was to find an Italian who was speaking English, to tell him to wait until the procedure was done!

We do not speak Italian so it was a pleasure to have train card machines that provide language options.
The Army personnel on the station were also extremely helpful in directing us to the correct platform.
Train travel is cheap in Italy.

Fast ,efficient , cheap access to Venice proper with a frequent service - every 5-10 minutes. But the the thing that makes this station is the many visible helpers ,poised ready to assist and expedite the tourists purchase of tickets and direction to the appropriate platform. A great idea !!

Large train station with cafes, shops and a MacDonalds on the concourse. The ticket machines have helpers standing by to assist you buying your tickets.
Its one stop to Venice across the Lagoon and takes approximately 7 minutes.
The trains are clean and run to venice every 10 minutes.
Highly recommend.

Ti conviene chiedere all'autista la fermata vicina all'Hotel.
Buon soggiorno :D
Hola,
Buena estancia: D

hello guys, me and my family will be travelling to venice next march, and will continue our journey to milan. We already buy Euricity train ticket from santa lucia station to milan centrale, but then i realize that our hotel is in mestre. Is it possible that we take the train from mestre station instead of santa lucia? because after i check, the first stop is in mestre station, or we must obey our tickets and take the train from santa lucia? Our tickets is paperless tickets. thank u very much for the answer.

Hi,
We always book from Santa Lucia to make sure we get the seats we want. If there is time we go downto St L to pick up the train. If not, every train stops at Mestre, and we pick it up there. Problem is some platforms on Mestre do no have lift for luggage, although they are slowly putting in more lifts.
Rgds.
