We always try and visit music/jazz wherever we go on our world travels. A quick Google threw up two clubs in Venice. We visited the Venice Jazz Club on Thursday and booked a table at Al Vapore on Saturday. Initially I booked the 9.30 session but looking at the bus timetables we realised we wouldn't get back to our hotel room until 2.00 am so changed it to 7.30. Getting their was easy, just a 10 minute ride from Pl de Roma on the island on the number 6 bus. The cost was 22.50 euros for an excellent and substantial club sandwich, a pint of beer or any other drink and the music. Really good value. The rather excellent local soul band began playing about 8.00 pm and played a set of about 45 minutes. Sadly the band outnumbered the audience, and it was only at about 9.00 pm that people started arriving for the second set, when it was our time to leave. So my genuine advice is really, don't bother with the first set, stay late and get the night bus back into Venice and enjoy a great evening with the locals enjoying good food, reasonably priced drinks and local talent.

Well what can i say of this little gem that i found. I went there on the 15th March 2013 & the performance of that night was the highlight of my stay in Venice. It was the performance of Chicago Blues legend Bob Stroger featuring the Luca Giordano band with Quique Gomez. The atmosphere was magical, the interior & the low light is very seductive & great for relaxing. The cocktails are made to perfection. Very reasonably priced, also food is good value & very big especially their sandwiches.
The staff are fabulous & friendly.One in particular his name was Walter, he was fabulous. He spoke great english & could recommend drinks & food to order. I loved this place it was the perfect place to celebrate my birthday weekend solo. I found the people there to be friendly proper jazz fans just there to listen to great music & not pretentious.
I would definately come back here again if ever i come back to Venice. It was one of the best fun filled nights of my life. I would recommend people to go there to unwind, chill & feel the live music, you can feel the passion, the soul of the music.

I just finished a 5 day residency at the Al Vaporejazz club and had an absolutely fantastic time! The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating, the atmosphere is fun and welcoming and the location is very close to public transportation. I would highly recommend visiting this jazz club if and when you are in the Venice City area as it is in my opinion a true venetian jazz treasure. I'm going home today with many fond memories and hope to be back again very soon!

We had a great. Ugh the here.
We'd only just arrived in Marghera and looking for a ute to eat and a few drinks with the family.
The girl who led us to the table was so friendly, spoke great English and let us relax in the chilled outside area of the bar.
We ordered some sandwiches and bruschetta and everything was lovely - not top of the range or fancy but nice and just what we were looking for.
Patient, helpful and pleasant - would definitely return if I were in the area!

We read about this place online so thought we would give it a try. After some interesting directions from google maps we found it (tucked away on a street just under the fly over road.). A neo-soul band were on called Ronnie B and they were amazing. We managed to get a seat as friends were already there. It got very busy and the atmosphere was great. The only negative was that with all the tables it felt very cabaret - whereas it would have been nice to dance along. But perhaps this works better for other jazz nights. Its quite a basic pub - the beer is ok - the toilets are questionable (prepare to squat ladies!!). But you get table service which was great when it was so busy. The music is what makes this place. Would recommend.

We were staying at a hotel a few doors away (Hotel Autoespresso) and decided to pop here for some food and drinks. The young girl who served us was fantastic - the best service we've received since being in Italy. Absolutely fantastic food, drinks, service and environment.

Pleasant bar on a quiet Sunday night. Just got off flight and wanted something quick and easy having not eaten since breakfast. Tasty bruschetta, good friendly service. Jazzy live music.

Credo sia non adatto ad un cane lì, è un posto con tanta gente e potrebbe annoiarsi, ma mai dire mai...prova!

Hi Im staying at Hotel Antony in Maestre , arriving 11/09/15 and would love to bring my grandaughter{aged 20yrs} and I to visit your venue as she has never been to a Jazz club before , its also our first time in venice.Would you kindly let me know the programme for that evening, as I would love to visit, as trip advisor reviews excellent, we will be getting a bus from hotel, could you advise.
