This ancient theatre rivals anything they had in Rome just smaller. Which meant you could easily navigate the whole place and still get the feeling of ancient Rome.

the ampiphetre in the God forsaken town of Lecce has only been parftially excavated. There are no explanation over the visible heap of stones.

Nice when visiting Lecce you shouls see the amfiteatro. Its not spectaculor. History is interesting. Just a look is enough....

The remains of the old Roman amphitheatre is quite impressive. Hard to imagine all that went on there. Sit back, close your eyes and you can hear the stadium full of people.

You can't miss this attraction, since it's in the city center . The ruins are in a good shape, so it's nice for historical lovers.

Another amphitheatre, but a good square to do people watching. A good reference point for wandering the side streets. Saturday nights are disrupted by kids and the McDonalds..

When we were there there was an evenings concert in the theatre, which was free of charge, it was interesting to watch the musical instruments being lowered by crane onto the stage.
