This is a very well conserved historical roman amphitheater in Lecce. In the middle of the main square. Very well iluminarse and with tons of history. An attraction itself that you must see. Do not miss it.
This nice Theatre is right in the middle of lovely Lecce. It was a quiet day when we visited (Sunday in August). But it was still surprising how few tourists were in town....and almost none a the Amphiteatre.

This could be one of the best examples of Roman history and architecture. It's located right in the center of the main piazza of the old section of town. Incredible! It's in such remarkable condition you can visualize a gladiator entering the arena.
