When you are stunned by the medieval town of Ferrara with all the fabulous buildings, cobble stoned streets, squares with that typical Italian unhurried atmosphere, bars, cafes and restaurants, a less then 10 minutes walk from Castello d'Este to the north brings you to the...More

Not a large garden and positioned alongside a main road. We did visit in September so not a lot of flowering plants going on. At least it was free.

This is a small garden with the most beautiful lotuses I've ever seen! It's the ideal place to have a cool rest after a visit to the Palazzo dei Diamanti!

It's worth to visit the botanical garden of ferrara. It's very romantic and peaceful. It contains lots of exotic plants.

This very central spot in Ferrara is very inviting for a short stop and break on a day trip trough Ferrara. Smaller than most other botanical gardens that I visited, but a good experience as well.

Small, shady and free. A welcome break from too much culture, noise etc. Enjoyed the challenge of translating from Italian to English to identify some of the plants. The gardens/plants did look a little sparse.
