What a hidden gem! This is a must-see when in Ferrara. The prison dungeons were very eerie. Lots of good information and history.

our Hotel was so close to the Castello, we even felt like living within. All good areas and restaurants are around during the day and at night.

Great view from the Torre dei Leoni + beautiful courtyards and fresco painted halls. Lovely location in the centre of town and beautiful walls.

Looks very good from outside but almost nothing left inside. The prison cells at the basement of the castle are the most unusual attraction to see as one can easily imagine yourself in those dungeons! Don't miss them!
