Very nice, tiny historical center (visit doesn't take longer than half an hour). It is a bit hard to reach by transit - there's a bus only very hour - but if the weather is nice, I'd try to get there by bike.

Casertavecchia is a quiet, medieval town with small stone streets, pizzerias, and cafes surrounded by ruined walls and with spectacular mountaintop views. Its hard to imagine a more romantic place to spend a few hours.

We spent some time exploring Casertavecchia, and it was a nice experience. Because it's on a hill, the views are spectacular. It's a quaint town with cobblestone streets and lots of flowers and many restaurants. Worth a visit if you have an hour or so.
