What a fabulous half day in this special small village. The church was amazing and the food was some of the best so far. I highly recommend this stop if your in the area.

Small village, nicely kept. In the middle of the day there isnt much to do here (in May), a few very sad looking restaurants were open thats all.

What a wonderful place to have a walk and see a sunset going down on the cost of Naples! Little shops and restaurants are must to visit when you at Caserta!

I was pleasantly surprised to find this little hidden gem on old Caserta. The small medieval town is not very touristy and the tiny alleyways were practically empty when we visited. It was nice, peaceful, and quiet. It was very small so you can walk...More

Breathtaking old village on the hill above caserta. A must see is the church with its medieval gargoyles, the cobbled streets, shops set into the walls

Very nice, tiny historical center (visit doesn't take longer than half an hour). It is a bit hard to reach by transit - there's a bus only very hour - but if the weather is nice, I'd try to get there by bike.

Casertavecchia is a quiet, medieval town with small stone streets, pizzerias, and cafes surrounded by ruined walls and with spectacular mountaintop views. Its hard to imagine a more romantic place to spend a few hours.

We were pleasantly surprised to find this little village perched on the hill above Caserta. There was no rubbish or graffiti which was a pleasant surprise for this part of Italy which is generally littered with garbage. There are lots of nice little restaurants and...More

We spent some time exploring Casertavecchia, and it was a nice experience. Because it's on a hill, the views are spectacular. It's a quaint town with cobblestone streets and lots of flowers and many restaurants. Worth a visit if you have an hour or so.
