We spent a lovely afternoon wandering around this lovely town. There is a tourist outing online which guides you past done off the sights. The guides are arranged in an easy walk through the town. Very informative and scenic.
Benevento old town is a clean and pleasant place to spend an hour or two. We had drinks at the local cinema(of all places). Some of the back street are quite dirty and dark. But generally we did not feel unsafe.

Fantastic area to visit if you are in town. At the heart of Benevento, this spot is what identifies our town. Many alleys and even more monuments and museums to explore here, not to mention the elevated number of high quality restaurants and bars.
This is a beautiful area and has a good feeling about it. It was nice to stroll and window shop and listen to the hum of chatter. The century old buildings are huge and very impressive. Nice restaurants and Gelaterias as well.

Beautiful old historical city. The Duomo s a must. The St.Sofia's church in the Gothic style is breathtaking. Walking through the city small cobblestone street in the old historical part is awesome. My 10 year old girl loved it.
