This site is all about arriving early. Less crowds and cooler temperatures. The view from this site of the valley is quite impressive.

Despite the fact that the temple isn't as complete as one like the Temple of Concordia, this is a very atmospheric site and is quite magnificent.

Set right at the far end of the Valley of the Temples if you enter via Gate 5. Impressive location. Get there early to avoid all the coach loads of tourists.

The huge stone pillars make for powerfully evocative architecture, the telamons are monumental. Enormous scope, the sacredness of the place sings despite the hordes of tourists (many European!). Surely us moderns can't build any better... what a powerfully intense experience!

Your stroll starts with the first temple of the Valley, on the top of the hill. Enjoy your walk through history (VIth century BC) and the view over the valley and the surroundings.

This Hera (Giunone) temple is very nicely situated on the top of the hill of Agrigento antic site. Very nicel reconstructed with perfect over-looking the valley

The Temple of Juno is one of the seven temples in the valley of the temples at Agrigento. It's one of the first temples you'll see as you enter the valley. There's a great view along the valley from the temple.
