In some ways, the fact that the temple isn't complete makes even more of the solidity of the columns and its more significant presence.

The temple is indeed a great view. Surroundings can be seen also from the top and the best time to go and visit is in the morning or in the evening, it can help you get rid of the heat.

The enormous columns make for powerful architecture, meticulously restored, the details and proportions are so beautiful. Breathtaking temple, the sacredness of the place sings despite the hordes of tourists (many European!). Surely us moderns can't build any better... humbling and transcendent.

We visited the Valley of the Temples this past May and this site was one of many we saw on that day. Our guide showed us a photo of what it probably looked like before. Worth a visit.

Only some columns remain of this temple, but it's worth taking a look on your stroll through history (VIth century BC). Enjoy!
