Good place to visit if you like steam trains. Diesel-electrics in short supply, and what is on display are buttoned up tight so you cant see the inner workings.

Fantastic locally run museum - full of train enthusiasts. Great place for kids to get up and close to lots of different trains. Miniature railway display and the museum is excellent with old signal equipment and great photos.

The railway museum is run by volunteer enthusiasts and I was lucky to have one as a personal tour guide for my time there. There is such a wide range of steam locomotives and passenger carriages to examine.

What a lovely find. Great to walk around an see all the old engines and carriages. The staff, all volunteers, were so friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. A great place to take the family.
