Although there's not that much to see at Llanfairpwll train station, it is a popular place for tourists to come and have a photo taken underneath the name of the village on the old station building. There is ample parking but be aware that it...More

Well worth stopping off here to have a photo with the longest railway sign. Great to cross Telford and Stevenson's bridges and take some photos of Snowdonia across the Menai strait.

Came for the name and didn’t stay for much else. This is a request stop on the train, a fun little oddity for those of us outside Wales that don’t have these, and if you’re lucky you’ll get a local like we did who was...More

We stopped by at the small village with the longest name in Europe, as we couldn't resist a photo opportunity at the railway station! (Why not?!) There is a huge car park and tourist shop too. We asked the girl in the shop to pronounce...More

This only takes a short detour from other places you may be visiting in Anglesey but it’s worth the photo opportunity for the album.

If you look at the station building and ignore everything else it's quite a nice example of the stations I regularly used to use when I was nobbut a lad. But now it's just another tourist trap - neither better nor worse than it's many...More
