all the benefits of being a National Trust Property. Fascinating castle with an interesting history told via videos and excellent tour gudes about the family who owned it. Red squirrel conservation programme in place too.

Yes, dogs are more than welcome in the grounds on short leads. Everywhere except children's play areas, the house and terraced garden.
