The house and gardens are both worth taking a proper look around, there’s also a decent cafe plus a small adventure playground/trim trail. The treehouse isn’t anything special and we didn’t have a go at the frisbee golf, but there’s still enough to occupy a...More

This is a rather splendid NT house once owned by Peg-Leg Paget, later Marquess of Anglesey, who was Wellington's second-in-command at Waterloo. He called 'Gad, sir, I've lost my leg!' so Wellington turned, said 'Gad, sir, so you have!' and went back to his telescope...More

Second visit here but there is so much to learn. Could spend ages just looking at the Whistler mural. What a masterpiece and what a talent.

A standard National Trust property - house, gardens, activities for kids. The military connection is acknowledged but rather squeezed into a corner. There is a secondhand book room but when we visited there was a volunteer preoccupied with organising (by size?) books already on the...More

Checkout opening times, they are all very close to each other. Plas Newydd house a must, the Trompe-l'œil is a must to see. Sea Zoo is next door to Angelsey Sea Salt I'd visit this instead of the railway station as it's a... More

Yes, dogs are more than welcome in the grounds on short leads. Everywhere except children's play areas, the house and terraced garden.
