The museum is quite small and the prices quite high which losers it a star. It is well presented but I think anyone would be pressed to spend as much as an hour inside.

Try the old carriage tea room. Prices are about average. The local sausage roll was dry good. Would have been better if toasted. But the cafe doesn't toast rolls!!! I enjoyed having the opportunity to travel back in time. Very comfortable. Good menu. Coffee was...More

We were interested in family history, particularly the Border Reivers. The Heritage Centre was a mine of information with computer support. The reception staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. Well worth setting aside an hour or more.

Quite a few exhibits in a relatively small place, well worth a visit. All done on a voluntary basis which makes it all the more impressive.
