We used to walk this concrete sea bridge with our children when they were young. On a grey, cold, rainy October afternoon, it really wasn’t that fun. Neither was the sea front which has become very rundown. There were very few people about and most restaurants and attractions were Covid closed, fair enough, but the pier still thought it was okay to charge £1 to tread their timbers?! I appreciate they were trying to raise probably much needed funds, but I'd suggest there are better ways to generate revenue from customers once they are on-premise. The entry fee acted as a deterrent.

It was a rainy day, so spent several hours on the pier. Obviously it’s mainly an arcade with a few rides but it keeps the kids amused. They were very COVID aware with hand sanitisers everywhere band masks being worn at all times. The 2p push machines are great fun. There’s a couple of cafes too so you can have a drink or a meal.
