This place is easy to find and the only problem here is the gate opening hour. They don’t open one minute before the opening time so make sure you come here at exactly opening time... The most odd place we visited... the address stated took...More

Knole house is a magnificent structure with hundreds of rooms but very little is open to the public. We were expecting to spend a day going round the house but had seen it all very quickly. The day we went the gardens were open but...More

We started off buying tickets, we was not told that you couldn’t view all the house in fact not even half the house. All that was on offer was a few Hall ways and a few rooms. Found one member of staff rude. The grounds...More

Unlike other 'stately piles' such as Penshurst Place which has a large well maintained garden, Knole sits incongruously in semi wild parkland. The interior of the house is confined to the rooms leading off from a long gallery. After entering via the courtyard into The...More

What an amazing place! The house in itself was amazing. What an amazing collection of art and antiquities. The National Trust staff are on hand to answer any questions and are very knowledgable. A trek up the tower is well worth it, as it has...More

I can’t comment on how much you can fit in one day, but Knole Park is an easy walk through the high street from Sevenoaks station. I would say no more than twenty minutes.

Admission to the house is £8, there are some paintings worth seeing and the house has a fascinating history. All in all a great place to visits.
