The Stone Jetty on Morecambe's seafront is a splendid place for a bracing walk along it. When you get to the end and then turn around and look back at the Prom it really is a sight to behold. Fishermen are often to be found...More

The stone jetty originally had a railway line and passengers were carried to the end in order to catch the ferry. This was before my time and the line has long since gone. You can still have a lovely walk to the very end and...More

It is obvious a lot of money, time and effort have gone into making the Jetty look as good as it does today. A lovely place for a walk to take in the scenery of Morecambe Bay and the Lakes in the distance. The sculptures...More

Whoever designed this restoration and extension put so much thought and imagination into it. Sculptures have a sea bird theme and several have long interactive inscriptions. Children 5-10 would love it. Handy cafe half way along (not tried, looks promising).

This jetty was built to carry rail lines to the ferry terminus. Now it is a location for sculpture, art work and an old station building containing a café which was shut when we were there on a Monday. Wonderful view at the end of...More

Well worth a walk along the stone jetty. There is a café under the lighthouse where you can buy snacks/ices and if the weather is good sit outside and enjoy the vews. There is plenty of seating along the jetty too.

It's a great stroll out into Morecombe Bay along the Stone Jetty. The bird sculptures are terrific and the view from the end of the jetty across the bay to the southern lakes is wonderful. The view gives you some idea of just how vast...More

2 Buses and a train, both go to Morecambe every half hour, bus can drop at old station and Jetty straight across road, trains go into new station, head for seafront and you can't miss it. Short walk, that's all. Train takes... More
