The village is well made and interesting to look at with lots of little scenes and hidden things to find and several little trains zooming round. It's not all that big though, we walked around slowly, took pictures, etc and were still only there an...More

We were hoping for something more like The Merrivale Model village in Great Yarmouth or Beckonscot in Beaconsfield or the Babbacombe Model Village near Torquay or even Swiss Miniature near Lugano in Switzerland. The Southport Model Railway Village came nowhere near. The prices for those...More

Brilliant day out watching the boats and trains. We so love Southport shops in Birkdale Village and enjoy the variety of food, drinks and presents we can buy for my gorgeous niece.

A pleasant 'escapist' visit. Pleasantly positioned in the Marine Lake Gardens, and fenced off form the outside hubbub. Suitable for families, children, courting couples, young and old, looking for a quiet, interesting venue to stroll around.

Unfortunately we didn't bring any kids - they would have loved this! However we have to admit it was cute and we had a lovely stroll round - with the dog. It is clear that a lot of effort goes in to building and maintaining...More

I went yesterday and did not notice any sit on rides, however do not let that put you off visiting. My four year old and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
