Did this the opposite way, Ventnor to Shanklin then on to Sandown. Nice easy walk to start with then went up hill from Bonchurch. It was a bit muddy and hard work in places but we were rewarded with some lovely coastal views and a...More

This is not a bad walk but its route takes you a little away from the sea into woods which in parts were very muddy. You don't really get to walk by the sea until you are almost at Ventnor. We preferred the path from...More

This was a lovely walk, we weren't in a hurry and it took us around 1 1/2 hours to do. The path is a little steep in places if you have a bad knee, but well worth doing.

Enjoyed this 2 hour or so walk, clearly marked or at least fairly obvious. Teenage son liked the variety, and there are options at Ventnor for the bus back, or a steep climb uphill then along a ridge and down into Shanklin a completely different...More

This is a lovely walk but very hilly. Good views of Shanklin to Sandiwn. The walk along the sea front is also very great and you can use the lift to take you some of the way back to Shanklin

Beautiful walk in sunny autumn weather. Particularly liked the part through lush landslips. Well signposted. Not particularly strenuous.

Four of us have just done this walk in fine weather in just about two hours. Good walking boots are essential as some of the paths in very hilly terrain have very uneven surfaces and occasional diversions due to a landslide some years before. It...More

This is a lovely varied walk, quiet road at beginning followed by leafy lane passing several coastal properties. You can detour at the signpost taking you up to the top road where there is a lovely cafe with stunning views plus toilets, then past the...More

Pretty walk and great variety from coastal path with stunning views to woodland wander. Took a bit longer than we expected as some climbs up and down from the beach. Not for those wanting a gentle amble but we loved it.

There is a lovely coastal walk to Sandown above the beach, with wonderful views. This is suitable for push chairs.
