Stopped into the town of Haddington on the way back from Dunbar and ended up spending a fair amount of time there. Shops were just closing but we walked across the Nungate bridge and had wonderful fish and chips in a restaurant along the river...More

The Nungate bridge is probably at least 750 years old. If you have the time, I would recommend crossing it as part of a walk along the river. One does not expect such a pastoral setting so near the heart of a town as big...More

The bridge is beautiful next to Mary Pleasance Gardens, the cathedral and river walk. On a sunny day its like a wee travel back in time. Calming and tranquil walk. Highly recommended.

This pedestrian bridge is dated from 1282. It's used to be the main road to Haddington. The river, the green area around and the St.Mary's church at the back ground, it's very picturesque. I was glad to be there for a while.
