This is closed at the moment they are refurbishing it. Guess it would be a good place to find out more about the history of Barnstable. If you are interested in the old railways here then would be a good place to start.

what a pity that this lovely spot has closed it is right in the middle of the town and was a wonderful little find with a gift shop and wonderful tours.......what a silly thing to do......with the tourist season coming up what are they thinking

As we entered people came out of the exhibition complaining that there was little to see and it wasn't worth the money, consequently we did not go into the exhibition. (we'd just visited the museum which is free!) Outside the heritage centre is sunken area...More
